Mary Queen of the Universe Basilica and National Shrine is a ten-minute drive from Disney World. Every week, thousands of worshippers attend Mass, and many will visit the National Shroud of Turin Exhibit hosted in the building to the left of the main sanctuary.

Inside the Sanctuary, with permanent seating for 2,500 and more added on holidays. Shown is the 10 AM Mass on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, one of several Masses that day.

Our life-sized Shroud of Turin replica arrived safely from Washington, D.C. Soon, it will be hung in the perfect spot as the central feature of the Shroud exhibit. Stay tuned for more details. We would appreciate donations to help make this long-term exhibit meaningful and spectacular.

Shown from left to right are sculptor Timothy Schmalz, Myra Kahn Adams, and David Adams. On the grounds adjacent to the Basilica's Sanctuary are the Gospel Gardens - Stations of the Cross. The Gardens will be completed in November. Fourteen gigantic Stations of the Cross were created by Timothy Schmalz, "Sculptor to the Popes."

Pictured is sculptor Timothy Schmalz explaining Station Three - Jesus falls for the first time.
What happened to Jesus, as reflected at the Stations of the Cross, is seen on the marks left on the Shroud of Turin. The Shroud exhibit is located just steps away from the Gospel Gardens. Timothy's masterpiece will soon be a tourist attraction and garner much national attention. Together, the Shroud of Turin Exhibit and the Gospel Gardens tell the story of what Jesus did for us through His suffering, crucifixion, and resurrection. Visitors to the Basilica will be inspired, and their faith will be impacted.
In October, Timothy presented a sculpture to Pope Leo at the Vatican in Rome. It represents when the Holy Spirit came over the earth. Timothy is a partner of the National Shroud of Turin Exhibit for which he is creating two new pieces. Check back for updates.
