  • Nora Creech


    Nora Creech has been interested in the Shroud of Turin since the 1970s and has extensively studied the linen cloth.  As an experienced lecturer on the history, science, and pastoral implications of the Shroud, she is passionate about sharing the facts related to the mysterious image and connecting it to the Gospel message. 

    On March 28, 2023 at the National Shroud of Turin Exhibit grand opening of the life-sized Shroud of Turin replica, Nora was a featured speaker. The National Catholic Register had a front page article about the event and Nora's presentation.

    She is well-credentialed having earned a Master of Arts degree in Faith and Culture from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. Nora has attended the course in Shroud Studies offered by the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome, Italy. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Shroud Center of Southern California.

    In addition, Nora is working with the Curator and President/CEO of the National Museum of Funeral History in Houston, TX to develop a permanent exhibit about the Shroud entitled “The Most Famous Burial of All Time”. The exhibit opens to the public on April 27, 2023.


  • Lisa Rowan


    Lisa is the principal of Rowan Consulting, LLC.  Lisa has over 25+ years of successful fundraising, sales and marketing experience. Her clients have included prominent non-profits such as, Museum of the Bible, Faith and Freedom Coalition, Answers in Genesis and numerous other organizations that serve causes close to her heart. She is a founding and current advisory board member for Museum of the Bible’s Catholic Advisory Board. She was heavily involved in the creation, fundraising and implementation of the museum’s most successful exhibition to date, “Mystery & Faith: The Shroud of Turin,” in addition to the multiple events that preceded the grand opening for this exhibition.

  • Joe Marino


          Joseph Marino has a B.A. in Theological Studies from St. Louis University.  He has researched, written and lectured extensively on the Shroud since 1977.  He is retired from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, where he worked in the library system.

          In 1977, he saw a book on the Shroud of Turin, which he had never heard of before, even though he was raised as a Catholic. He read the book in one sitting and became fascinated by the subject and proceeded to collect any material on it that he could find.  

          In January 1980 he joined the Benedictine monastery St. Louis Priory, which later became known as the St. Louis Abbey.  In 1986, he attended his first Shroud conference and met for the first time, some of the top scientists and researchers involved.

         Marino left the monastery in 1998, but continued his Shroud research.  He has authored two Shroud books, including an eight-hundred-page work on the controversial 1988 dating.  He has also authored over 70 Shroud articles.

         He is a board member of the “Shroud of Turin Research and Education Association” and of “Sign from God” and a member of the Shroud Science Internet group.



  • Cheryl White


    Cheryl H. White, Ph.D. is a professor of history at Louisiana State University at Shreveport, where she holds the endowed Hubert Humphreys Professorship. She has had a career-long interest in Shroud studies, currently serves on the board of directors of the Shroud of Turin Education and Research Association (STERA), and has published and presented original research from the Vatican Secret Archives related to the history of the Shroud for international journals and conferences.

    Dr. White served as the historical consultant on the Shroud of Turin exhibit developed for the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., and has given numerous presentations there, as well as provided an internationally live-streamed presentations for the esteemed Smithsonian Institution.

    She also was able to see the Shroud recently as part of a private event in Turin, at the invitation of the Center for the International Study of the Shroud.

  • Russ Breault


    RUSS BREAULT has been researching and lecturing on The Shroud of Turin for over 30 years. His highly acclaimed presentation known as Shroud Encounter, has been seen by thousands throughout the US and Canada.  He has presented to numerous college and universities including Duke, Johns Hopkins, Penn State, Cal State and many more along with countless churches of all denominations. 

    Russ Breault has appeared in several nationally televised documentaries including Mysteries of the Ancient World on CBS.  He was both advisor and a primary expert for the highly acclaimed, Uncovering the Face of Jesus —A two-hour documentary on The History Channel.  He was also a primary expert for EWTN’s documentary, The Holy Winding Sheet. He has been interviewed for Good Morning America and ABC World News Tonight and was a consultant for CNN’s Finding Jesus episode on the Shroud. 

    Russ was also an adviser to the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC for the development of a million-dollar interactive exhibit on the Shroud that proved to be the most popular six-month exhibit in the museum’s history. 

    He has participated in over a dozen international research symposia since 1981 and three public exhibitions in Turin, Italy in 1998, 2000 and 2010.

    He is a long-time member of the Shroud Science Group, an international consortium of scientists and scholars dedicated to further research.

    Russ Breault is the president and founder of the Shroud of Turin Education Project Inc., with a simple eleven word mission statement: “To advance the knowledge of the Shroud to a new generation.”
