Pope Francis prayed before the Shroud on June 21, 2015, at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Turin, Italy, where it has been housed since 1578. He said: “The shroud draws (us) to the face and martyred body of Jesus and, at the same time, impels us toward the face of every suffering and unjustly persecuted person. It impels us in the same direction as Jesus’ gift of love.”

The Pope has gone home to be with Jesus. Bless you, Pope Francis, for your service to humankind.
